New 2014 Nike Breathe Collection | Roshe, Air Max 1, Lunar1

As the weather cools down in the Northern Hemisphere it heats up in the Southern, necessitating an entirely different kind of footwear than the Sneakerboots and Duckboots that are currently arriving in America and Europe. Enter the 2014 Nike Breathe Collection, nike free run nz engineered to combat the summer heat without sacrificing style and iconic good looks.

Nike designers looked to South American climate for design cues, specifically Brazil, where footwear can be used for urban exploring, athletic training and beach-going, all in the course of a single afternoon. nike free shoes Two silhouettes were reimagined for the latest collection, stripping out core essentials and layer upon layer of heavy material for light, breathable, deconstructed designs.

The resulting pieces are champions of warm-weather design. The Nike Air Max 1 Breathe swaps out the usual leather, suede and synthetic, yielding a radically lighter shoe that prioritizes air flow thanks to spacer mesh and no-sew construction. A dynamic fit tongue moves with the foot and secures the shoe, while Phylon is added to the sole, promising an ultra-light, cushy ride.

The Nike Air Max Lunar1 Breathe utilizes much of the same upper as the Air Max 1, meanwhile, but follows in different footsteps courtesy of a full-length Lunarlon midsole, the ultimate in comfortable, resilient cushioning.

Finally, the Nike Roshe Run Breathe plays up the light, minimal qualities for which the Roshe is already know. A tightly-perforated mesh comprises the entire upper of the shoe, neutral in color, paired with flashy, bright coloring on the sole unit; a sole unit that’s updated with Free-inspired Natural Motion tooling.

All three 2014 Nike Breathe Collection models will launch October 20, in both men’s and women’s editions.
