Hot issue: Duke Throwback Helmets Honor 1989 Championship Team

The Duke football program unveiled new uniforms before the season, Wholesale Cheap Nike Free 2014 altering their usual blue, white and black jerseys to look more similar to the uniforms of the 1989 Steve Spurrier-coached team, which this season celebrates the 25th anniversary of its ACC Championship. Well this Saturday the retro angle comes full circle, as the Blue Devils will don a throwback helmet against Tulane.

The lid, nearly a dead ringer for the one worn during that fateful ’89 season, Nike Free 3.0 V5 Sale features a white backdrop with “Duke” scrawled in blue in cursive-italics across each side, and a single blue stripe down the center. The only noticeable difference between the 2014 and 1989 editions is a grey facemask on the former, as opposed to the white facemask on Spurrier’s squad. No qualms here though; we Nikeblog folks love a nice grey facemask.
