Collaborations are certainly more frequent lately, from the smaller skateshops like Rukus to the bigger brands like Supreme, but there are still people and companies whose involvement in one makes you sit up and take notice. Cheap NIKE Rosherun FB Hiroshi Fujiwara and his Fragment Design are just such examples. And when the subject of their sartorial focus is one of Earth’s most iconic shoes? All the better.
But Fujiwara forwent to the brash, www.nzfreerunning.com loud graphics of Rukus or Supreme’s last launches, instead opting for classic color-blocking on the Fragment x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. Black and blue overlays are set against white on the leather upper, in a style that looks as OG as the palette does. (It’s not.) Throwback branding adorns the tongue — which is to say “NIKE AIR” in lieu of Jumpman branding — while Fragment’s lightning logo is debossed at the lateral heel.
There’s still no word on a release date for the latest Fujiwara fashion, but the prevalence of recent photos seems to indicate a launch sooner, rather than later. Stay tuned, and check out a slew of shots below.
