Earlier this year, Nike launched the Nike SB Dunk High Diamond, a hightop edition of the classic teal-and-black Dunk Low that I’m legally forbidden from analogizing to a certain famously teal jewelry brand. (Seriously. Emails were sent.)

Well, the brand appears set to transition another favorite from low to high in the coming months, nike free runs cheap with the debut of the Nike SB Dunk High De La Soul.

For its part, the shoe is pretty much a dead ringer for the lowtop De La Soul Dunk, just a few inches higher in the collar. The cancellation of “Kobe Bryant,” “Allen Iverson” Zoom Flight 96 Editions

Were you hoping to wear your affinity for Allen Iverson on your Nike sneakers? Consider those dreams officially dashed. The so-called Allen Iverson Zoom Flight 96 has been canceled.

Previously, the cult classic Nike Air Zoom Flight 96 basketball model was set to launch in a series of brand new colorways, each unofficially celebrating members of the NBA Draft class of 1996, the year the nike free run 3.o shoe debuted. The homages would be ambiguous, vague: team colors and jersey-numbers would be used, sure, but nothing official, like a name or likeness. Nike has officially scrapped the idea, announcing that the unofficial Iverson and Kobe Bryant homages will not see the light of (retail) day. “Nike has made a business decision to not move forward with the nike free run 3 v3 shoe in the red/blue and white/purple colorways,” Nike spokesman KeJuan Wilkins said in an email to the Associated Press. “However, two colorways inspired by the original 1996 colorways will still be available for purchase.”

Those two carbon fiber-laden originals will likely hit stores November 26. It’s still a week away, but it’s closer than never. If you’re dying for a pair, it’s crazy what you can find on eBay these days.

Another Look at the Air Jordan 8 ‘Doernbecher’

The latest chapter of Nike’s annual collaborative fundraiser with Doernbecher Children’s Hospital – the famous Doernbecher Freestyle program that sees patients from the Portland hospital design colorways of Nike shoes that are actually sold at retail – roshe shoes isn’t officially unveiled until next Friday, but one of the most anticipated pieces of the collection has already leaked. New Illinois GRAY GHOST Uniform Honors Red Grange

When the Illinois football team takes the field October 25 for its homecoming game, it will do so in a new look inspired by one of its most famous alumni, the “Galloping Ghost,” Harold “Red” Grange. Nike LeBron 12 Release Delayed Indefinitely, stay tuned

In a move that’s sure to have wide-ranging ramifications in the athletic footwear industry, nike free has indefinitely postponed the Nike LeBron 12 release, due to what the company is calling a “small cosmetic issue.”

Originally scheduled to launch in its first colorway on October 1 in China and October 12 worldwide, the shoe will now languish in limbo until the Swoosh announces a new date, marking a very rare occurrence for such an anticipated sneaker.

While the exact cosmetic issue has not been identified, nike free 4.0 v3 it may be a problem that affects all seven initial colorways. Each has been pulled from Nike’s release calendar, although whether or not the delay will apply to all seven has also not been announced.

Nike’s official statement is as follows.

Product quality is a priority for Nike. Due to a small cosmetic issue with some of the LEBRON 12 shoes we have delayed the initial retail launch that was scheduled for China on October 1, and the global launch that was scheduled for October 11. We will communicate an update on the retail date as soon as possible.

A new wave of Air Jordan 11′s has hit the sneaker blogosphere recently, but it’s not your usual crop of new colorways.
