Another Look at the Air Jordan 8 ‘Doernbecher’

The latest chapter of Nike’s annual collaborative fundraiser with Doernbecher Children’s Hospital – the famous Doernbecher Freestyle program that sees patients from the Portland hospital design colorways of Nike shoes that are actually sold at retail – roshe shoes isn’t officially unveiled until next Friday, but one of the most anticipated pieces of the collection has already leaked. And, following extremely hazy imagery yesterday, today we get a much better if still less-than-perfect look at the Air Jordan 8 Doernbecher.

Created by nine-year-old Caden Lampert, who goes to Doernbecher to be treated for Guillain Barre syndrome, the shoe boasts bright, starkly contrasting colors, as a royal blue leather upper is hit with white speckles, then further offset by orange on the liner, nike roshe run online black on the midsole, and a multicolored mix near the heel. A nod to a trait that all of the children involved in Doernbecher Freestyle embody, “BRAVE” is emblazoned near the collar.

Details and better photos are of course still in the offing, so stay tuned. (As mentioned above, plenty of official photos and information will be available on November 7.) For now, take a look at advance imagery below, and hit the comments section to weigh in on the Air Jordan 8 Doernbecher.
