First look at Air Jordan 1 Hyperfuse

Is some sort of Air Jordan 1 Hyperfuse on the way to retailers?

Well, now that you mention it, that seems like an obvious update for Nike Free 5.0 Outlet Brand to give its flagship model. And in fact it appears that they have, although merely dubbing it “Air Jordan 1 Hyperfuse” doesn’t quite do the shoe justice.

Sure, the acclaimed no-sew technology seems to be present over the upper, which features the traditional “paneling,” simply less the stitches and seams, but that’s not the model’s only distinction. In addition, nike free runs the iconic upper is covered in an ostensibly rubberized grid pattern absolutely everywhere. The result is a paradox of sorts: It’s unlike anything we’ve seen lately, yet instantly recognizable as an AJ1.

So, presuming a launch is coming — a big presumption at the moment, I s’pose — how do you feel about the latest iteration of the AJ1?
